Hey Tuesday Market Friends --

It's going to be a hot and exciting week at market! Hot as a cayenne pepper, hot as the mid-day sun in mid-July, hot as a wood stove. In fact, to top it all off, there will be a mobile wood-fired pizza oven at market this week. The Laughing Tomato makes its debut at Tuesday Market with 4 kinds of pizza featuring market ingredients: Three Cheese - Mozzarella, Provolone & Maggie's Round; Vermont Smoked Pepperoni; Arugula, Sweet Sausage & Shiitake Mushrooms; Spinach/Sweet Basil Pesto, Eggplant & Feta. My mouth is watering. What better place to grab a late lunch or dinner? And if you can't make it this week, they will be back on July 31st.

You might have noticed Red Barn Honey arrived last week. They have 3 kinds of honey right now: a light Spring Wildflower from hives at Town Farm in Northampton, a darker Alfalfa Honey coming from hives at Next Barn Over Farm in Hadley, and the popular Summer Wildflower from last year's stock. Come and taste them all! Maybe go home with some honey sticks to snack on or some honey to make the Berry Tart this week.

Hosta Hill returns this week and will now be coming every week for the rest of the season. Black Birch is taking a week off to meet their first grandchild being born in Montreal. And here's a link to a complete list of all the vendors at market this week.

Our recipes of the week are Quick Pickles and a luscious Berry Tart to help you enjoy all the berries flowing in.

Baron Collins Hill will be strumming and plucking the strings this week with a lovely fiddler in tow. Debby Reelitz returns with her expertly calligraphied tshirts with simple, good messages (that's not one of hers down below, but that is Baron and Band).

And remember, 3 more weeks to bring someone new to market. Bring your friend by the purple market tent, have them sign up for our mailing list, and you get $5 to spend at market.

Finally, in case you forgot, we double the value of SNAP/Food Stamps up to the first $10 every week. Many of our farmers accept WIC/Senior Farmers Market Coupons. And, new this year, some of our farmers accept WIC Fruit and Vegetable Checks. You can ask at the market tent if you want to know who accepts what.

OK, come on by. We'll be sweating, you'll be sweating.

Ben didn't have a moment to take pictures at market last week. Luckily, this was what was happening outside our front door the next morning.  Farmhands
